Ashleigh graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC in 2014 and has been working as a full time RMT ever since.
She has always been fascinated by the complexity of the human body, and it’s seemingly juxtaposed fragility and tenacity. Her experiences in treeplanting, paddling and competitive athletics demonstrated the limits that the human body can be pushed to, but also how quickly this balance can be disrupted. She discovered massage therapy while rehabilitating a shoulder injury. It was through this experience that she realized how powerful massage therapy can be for healing injuries, managing pain and stress, addressing muscular imbalances, and perhaps most importantly, helping to connect oneself to their own body in a positive and loving manner.
She feels privileged to be able to work with a diverse group of individuals, and adapts each treatment to the unique needs of the client. She looks forward to helping clients achieve their own health goals, whether it be stress reduction, managing chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or simply helping the client to connect with their own body through awareness, breath and touch.
She is inquisitive and is constantly seeking to further enrich her understanding of the human body through research and continued education.
Ashleigh respectfully acknowledges that she works, lives and plays on the unceded territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən peoples.
